Get your family started.

Kindlane uses one Google sign-in on every device. There is no separate account for this website. Pick the option that fits you, and your household will be the same on Android, iPhone and your computer.

Starting a new family

Open the Kindlane web app and choose Sign in with Google. Your first sign-in creates your account. Enter a household name and choose Create household, then invite your family. You can do this from iPhone Safari or your computer browser.

New to Kindlane? Create one household, then invite everyone else to join it.

Joining with an invite

Ask the household owner for an invite code. On iPhone they open Home → Settings → Household members; on desktop they choose Household members in the sidebar. Android owners use Members. Then sign in with Google in the Kindlane web app and choose Join with a code.

A code is 8 characters, works once and expires after 24 hours.

Already in a household

Sign in with the same Google account you use in the Kindlane app. Your household, meals, lists and calendar are already there.

On iPhone you can add the web app to your Home Screen from Safari's Share menu.

Your sign-in happens in the Kindlane web app. This public website never asks for your password or any account details. Kids join with an invite from the owner, who assigns their Daily list and controls which actions they can take. Household calendars and shared lists are visible to household members.

Set up with just your browser

  1. Sign up with Google and create one household.
  2. Open Daily list → Set up Daily lists to add people, tasks and rewards.
  3. Open Calendar → Add or import calendar events to add family events or import an .ics calendar file.
  4. Open Meals → Saved meals to add your meals and dishes, then pick meals for the week.
  5. On iPhone, open Home → Settings → Household members; on desktop, choose Household members in the sidebar. Invite your family, then assign children their Daily lists and permissions.
  6. Customize colors, text size, Home cards and phone navigation under Home → Settings on iPhone or Preferences on desktop.

No Android device or custom Firebase project is required for these steps. Calendar imports are snapshots; import an updated file with the same filename to refresh it.
